Vitra Haus - Design Museum

A trip to Vitra Haus – en udflugt til Vitra Haus

Vitra Haus – Design Museum

J has been of work since Wednesday, so we have been really busy doing stuff at home. But we managed to go to Vitra Haus in Germany.

Vitra Design Museum is mainly a museum for Charles and Ray Eames, but among other you can also see design by Danish Verner Panton. It is only a 20 minutes drive from Basel and just 5 minutes from the German/Swiss border and it is open all year. The building has amazing architecture, and is beautifully situated in the German, hilly landscape. It has a shop and you can buy chairs designed by yourself and the Eames Hang-it-all. The only thing we got was to apple juices and croissants. It was a very nice experience any way.
